Public Housing Division

The Public Housing Division of the Oxford Police Department is comprised of five full time officers assigned to perform community policing activities in the five sites of public housing, all within the city limits of Oxford.  These officers have varying, flexible shifts and are housed on three of the five public housing sites.  Due to the unique nature of community policing, the public housing officers are a primary source of intelligence for the patrol and detective divisions.  The Housing Division also runs the K-9, Tara, for the department.  They are integrated into all departmental functions, as well as, the administration of the Oxford Housing Authority.
